Boobs Boobs... Growing Growing Growing....?

I amd 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and I am super excited! I have read every piece of literature you can imagine! I know that your boobs are tender right from the begining and most women notice an increase in size from within the first few weeks (as I have began to notice as well). My question is: do they continue to grow all throughout your pregnancy or is the most drastic change in the 1st trimester? Or is is after the baby is born?

I am curious if i should expect my boobs to get bigger for the next 8 months or how long?

Thanks to all that respond!

If they're starting to grow, then they may continue to grow throughout your pregnancy---maybe even after if you breastfeed. My boobs never grew with either pregnancy. I was stuck with my damn 34A :(

Well within the 3rd month I noticed that my boobs started to grow because my bra started to feel really tight on me. I guess it depends on your body. I had a friend that said that her boobs didn't grow all that much and my sister in law said that her boobs grew a lot. She has small breast but before she had her baby, man did she grow. So it's different for everyone. I'm barely 4 months and I already had to buy another bra.

Well, I'm 25 weeks and mine haven't stopped growing!! lol

They should continue to grow throughout your pregnancy, but ou won't notice it as much once you get out of your first trimester, but once your baby is born you will get a lot bigger from your milk coming in.

    Congrats :)

Oh my, I am having the same thing, Im four weeks and my breast hurt so bad, already had to buy new bras(bigger size) I hope they don't continue to grow until the baby's born, I won't be able to carry them and a baby around.

1st off congrats :) . Mine stopped growing in mid 2nd Trimester THANK GOD ! They have their own zip code lol . I'm so over them now . I went from a 34C to a 34D and from what I can remember from my 1st pregnancy they did not get huge until after my milk came in . Oh and I am 34 weeks :)

Your breasts increase in size as you move along in your pregnancy with the greatest change when your milk comes in after your baby is born. If you want to lose extra weight after the birth of your baby make sure you breastfeed. Your figure returns very quickly when you are breastfeeding and breastfeeding is great for bonding and attaching with your new baby. Congrats and best wishes, G

Mine grew through the 2nd trimester. I went up 2 cup sizes. Ended up disappointed that I bought a bunch of new bras that didn't fit after a couple months! hahaha.

I think women vary quite a bit though in how their bodies respond to pregnancy. I guess I would warn you to just not be surprised regardless of how it progresses. :)
