okay thats medical term for nosebleeding...actually nosebleed is fairly common occurence and usually results from simple trauma to the nose, including picking. Other much less common causes include high blood pressure, abnormalities in blood clotting system, and tumor of the nose and sinuses. Frequent and recurrent attacks may require cauterization of the affected blood vessel by a specialist.

Epistaxis medical term for nosebleed...make sure that you always take your medication for your sinusitis,( if you have)... if youre sensitive make sure you dont hit your head...always stay out from the sun , too much expose to the heat makes your nose bleeds too...you mentioned you cant breath after that your nose bleeds, make sure you consult your cardiologist right away...thats a bad sign already.

Whn your nephew has an episode of epistaxis, try to place something cool (not cold, just something cooler than tap water), and let the blood trickle out. This lets the small injured capillaries in the nose to become blocked by clotting of the blood. The cold compress constricts the small capillaries and also helps put the bleeding to stop. Assess what happened to your nephew prior to each epistaxis episode. What was he doing? What other factors were present? (i.e. temperature, type of play activity, etc.). This may help you get a clue as to what triggers your nephew's epistaxis and help you prevent it from occuring or minimize the number of episodes.
