Christians - Bible vs. Cell phone? Your thoughts?

Question

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones....

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? 
What if we treated it as if we couldn't live without it? 
What if we turned back to get it if we forgot it? 
What if we flipped through it several times a day? 
What if we used it to receive messages from the text? 
What if we gave it to our kids as a gift? 
What if we used it as we traveled? 
What if we used it in case of an emergency? 

This is something to make you stop and think: where are my priorities? Where is my Bible? 

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phones, we don't ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill! And no dropped calls!

I am guessing you have never visited the Bible Belt. They do have a Bible in their truck, one in their purse, one at work, one at home, you get the idea here.

EDIT: Really? I lived in Texas last year, I found that people stashed them anywhere they could fit.

Generally, I think you're correct.  We value material things highly and then wonder "where is God in our nation, now?"
