dentist prices?

My 7 year old needs 1 or 2 of his baby teeth yanked out of the way so the adult tooth that is already poked out behind it can finish comming out straight. The dentists over the phone are of course being mesterious about the prices. We have a pathitic coverage for it so assume we dont have any. Any idea how much it'll cost?

We see a regular dentist, not a child dentist. My oldest had to have one tooth pulled, it came right out, they did not have to cut it out and it cost either $80.00 or $90.00 for the one tooth.

If the cost is really an issue and the teeth are near the front, you can do it yourself. When the tooth ready to come off, you can see it looses. It moves back and forth just by using the tongue to push it. If it gets to this stage, there is no point of using dentist. Just tie a thread around the tooth and give it a quick yank or if you prefer tie it to the door and slam the door. I actually got one of my teeth out from being slapped by my cousin, LOL. My daughter tooth fell off by itself when she ate on something hard. She swallowed it and did not even realize it until later. If the teeth are in the back than you probably need a dentist.

Hey I work in a dentist office. And they may not be giving you answers because they do not know if the dr can extract the teeth. It just depends how your child acts. if he is real skidish or scared then he may refer you to an oral surgeon. But it can coast anywhere from 200 to 350 per tooth. Hope this helps

My kid "might" need that done and I have "good" dental, but not great. He's a kid's dentist only so he's automatically a little higher priced. My quote was $192.00

    I'm hoping nature takes it's course. : )

How much it costs depends upon what area of the country you live in, what the dentist charges and of course your insurance plan. The dentitsts aren't being MYsterious they don't HAVE to give you a quote over the phone.
