With all the deadline deals being made, will any have a significant impact on the teams acquiring them
There have been may deadline deals over the years that have been done, most have very little impact on the teams that acquire the player, do you see any of these players making such a significant difference that they could be termed the "Difference maker"?
Tex seems like the likely choice but when traded last year he got hot and the team went south.
I was thinking the "deadline deals" that happened a little early I guess as well. No need to get indignent about your answer.

Most of these so-called deadline trades or deals will impact those teams involved in a positive way. By maybe gaining a win or two. Don't sneer, winning a division or a wild card is worth it.
In the long run, however, a team might wish that they had kept some of their younger stars and so-called "Grade A" prospects.
All teams age, and baseball is a young man's game.
A team must have a constant inflow of good to very good, younger players to compete every year, and have a reasonable expectation of being in the post season.

Teixeira is on a better team this year. The offense might not be as good as the 2007 Braves, but the pitching, defense and bullpen are far and away better than the Braves last year. Now the Angels have a better offense than earlier this year.

if by all you mean all 4 trades then yes, because this might be the slowest mlb trade deadline day in years
IRod-Farnsworth, Tex-Kotchman, Rhodes-minor leaguer, Griffey-2 nonames...thats it. if you include the Nady/Marte-ohlendorf+3 trade then 5 but this has been slow as all hell
so idk what your definition of "many" is but i hope its more than 5. and really the only one that is going to make a difference is the Pudge/Farnsworth trade. Both teams filled their needs. Griffey and Rhodes arent going to play much and Tex and Kotchman was almost a straight swap for both teams, Tex has a bit more power thats it

Pudge will help the Yankees. He's an experienced catcher and will help now that Posada is on the DL. Tex will help the Angels. I'm not glad he's back in the West though.
