Almost 18 weeks pregnant - one swollen ankle, but no pain
The past 3 days my right ankle has been really puffy. The left one still looks normal. My ankle doesn't hurt at all; neither does any part of my right leg. I'm fit, I've only gained 2 pounds so far, and have healthy blood pressure.
It just seems really odd to have only one puffy ankle - two would make sense...! Has anyone else experienced this? Does it sound normal, or should I call a nurse?
I checked my blood pressure at my gym yesterday - it's normal. 104/72.

ROFLMAO...
That happened to me with my last pregnancy... but it was my whole leg. I had one normal leg and one "elephant leg". When I asked my OB/GYN about it he asked me some questions and found out that I was taking Naproxen Sodium (Aleve) for my lower back ache. Other things that will cause that is Sodium intake. Check the sodium levels of all the foods you eat. I'm not sure what the recommended daily allowances are but I would go below that, because you kidneys are working harder during pregnancy. Also it might be that the baby is putting pressure on the sciatic nerve...
Drink lots of WATER... (I know that sucks especially when pregnant) but you need to flush your system. Depending on how far along you are you might want to take a warm bath. Definitely rest and put your feet up on a pillow so that they are above your heart level. This will promote circulation.
As long as your blood pressure remains stable you should be fine. If it doesn't go away though I would talk to your OB/GYN.

I didn't know you could get swollen ankles or feet untill later on. I'm almost 18 weeks too and I'm not swollen. Maybe you have a problem with circulation in that leg. Try keeping it elevated when you have the chance.

yeah it happend to me its pretty much normal,,but to ease your mind when you go to the doctor the next time for a check up, you should tell him/her just in case.
I worked all the way up to my due date, so if anyone says sitting down causes it there full of it cause my job was a standing job for 40 hrs a week.
Congrats on the baby and good luck to you
