Adolf Hitler & Nazi Beliefs? [Hinduism]
A serious question here..
We all know that Adolf Hitler adopted the Hindu Swasktika and used it as the flag for Germany, so does this mean that he had any respect, beliefs for the Hindus or something?
Extra background info would help!
Thank you.
Say for example i was a British Soldier [a Hindu] wearing a Swastika necklace or something holy like that and i was captured by the Nazi's will they go easy on me or something? reconsider?

No - although the mythical Aryan race was supposed to come from the himalayas.

The swastika is a fairly universal symbol. It has cropped up in most cultures and civilisation, from South America to the high arctic people have made the symbol.

It was quite a fashionable symbol in 1920s Europe - Jewellery, medals and commercial signs all were made in the shape of the swastika - there was a laundry in Dublin called the Swastika Laundry - with swastikas down the chimney.

Edit: I think your commanding officer, or sergeant would encourage you to remove a swastika necklace, and so would any non-Hindu troops, probably not very politely either.

If you were not a western European you would have likely been considered sub-Human by Nazis. The Nazis were Neo-Pagans, Hindu symbols would have been appealing them. If captured by the SS it is likely you would have been shot. Having a swastika around your neck may have suggested to then that you took it from a dead Nazi which would have been extra bad news for you.
Regarding Hitlers "Catholic" roots Goebbels (Hitlers Propaganda minister) said that if he had to do it over again it would have been Catholics first.(I'm looking for the citation) He also noted "The Fuhrer is deeply religious, though throughly anti-Christian. He views Christianity as a symptom of decay. Rightly so. It is a branch of the Jewish race. This can be seen in the similarity of religious rite. Both have no point of contact with the animal element., and thus, in the end, they will be destroyed".

Hitler was a Hitlerist--he did whatever he thought would get him what he wanted, including cherrypicking symbols and theories and science as he saw fit to bolster his evil. However: the Swastika was used by German nationalists BEFORE Hitler joined them. Basically, the thought process was: the Swastika was an old symbol in India; Aryan people came from India; ergo, the Swastika was a symbol of the founders of the Aryan "race". This was wrong, but no one ever said the Nazis were smart.
Here's what it says in Wikipedia about its usage: "The use of the swastika was associated by Nazi theorists with their conjecture of Aryan cultural descent of the German people. Following the Nordicist version of the Aryan invasion theory, the Nazis claimed that the early Aryans of India, from whose Vedic tradition the swastika sprang, were the prototypical white invaders. It was also widely believed that the Indian caste system had originated as a means to avoid racial mixing. The concept of Racial purity was an ideology central to Nazism, even though it is now considered unscientific. For Rosenberg, the Aryans of India were both a model to be imitated and a warning of the dangers of the spiritual and racial "confusion" that, he believed, arose from the close proximity of races. Thus, they saw fit to co-opt the sign as a symbol of the Aryan master race. "

answer: No, Hitler took the swastika from Northern European symbols. It's found throughout the world throughout time and all cultures. You can find the swastika in Native American pottery, blankets and jewelry. I've seen artwork from Etruscan times of a swastika with horse heads at the end of each "arm". The symbol in Northern Europe represented energy - sun and moon and cycles. He turned it on point to represent that movement - to be noticeable and dramatic.
Hitler didn't respect any beliefs other than his own, he didn't respect his religion of Christianity and especially disliked anything not from Northern Europe. He only reluctantly agreed for non-whites to be allowed into the Auxiliary SS Waffen because he needed Muslim help in combating the partisans in the Baltics and they were ancient enemies of the Jews and partisans both. There were also Indian SS Waffen troops - same reasons, he needed them to fight the Allies.

The Swastika was a celtic symbol for the sun. This was the reason for the swastika being on the Nazi flag.
Aside from Hitlers christian beliefs there were also lots in the leadership of his government, who adhered to the nordic mythologies (like Valhalla and Götterdämmerung) which is why you find a lot of such symbolism in the third Reich (the double sig runes of the SS for example were part of this)

Hitler was a very superstitious man and adopted anything that he believed would bring him power. The swastika he adopted though the a sun symbol used by the ancient people living in germany.

Hitler was not Catholic in the least. He may have had a Catholic parent, but that does not make him Catholic. The second largest religious group killed in the holocaust were Catholics. Such nonsense is the workings of hate groups and bigots who seek to demonize the Catholic Church, and expoit peoples ignorance.
Lutheranism was the Nazi state religion, with ministers preaching from the pulpit in full Nazi regalia, but all you hear is this b.s. about Hitler being Catholic.

You know what Im just guessing he would have liked the Hindus and let them off. Perhaps thats why he and his team mates never tried to overrun India where he knew the British were hiding out.
He went to Africa, America, UK, Europe Russia Burhma, but not India.

There are strikingly different interpretations of Hitler's beliefs....It is alleged that he once remarked "The only religion that I respect is Islam and the only prophet that I respect is Mohammed"...
There are others that claim he once remarked that once he conquered the world he would outlaw all religious books and replace them with the Hindu Gita. There was a lady called Savitri Devi - A german convert to Hinduism who was one of his closest acquaitances. She was a die hard racist nazi but she was a Hindu convert and married to an Indian man....

Hitler was a catholic. Period. If he used a Hindu symbol for his purpose, neither the symbol nor Hinduism can be blamed.
Your question is hypothetical, and merits nor answer.
PS: Hindus believe that downfall of Hitler was because he debased a powerful symbol.
