Obama the first black president, or is it white?

Considering Obama is half white/black origins, then if all the presidents before him were pure black would he be touted as the first ever possible white president?

Update:

Can someone answer the question or what

I don't care what color he is, when I saw him in the last Democratic Convention, I wanted him to become the next nominee for President. He's young, energetic, and not spewing the same tired BS all the other morons have. It's about time we had a candidate that knows what it's like to grow up poor, I'll never trust a President that doesn't know what it's like to live on minimum wage, how can a rich person relate to what most of us have gone through?

He's Black, and race alone might make him a fine statesman to the rest of the world -which does not happen to be all white, and in fact are more sensitive to race than a lot of Americans are and know damn well that they have color and are never treated fairly by our white presidents... And, yes, that includes Asians, too.

I remember asking my mother this about 40 years ago, not about Obama but I wondered why people said that a white women had a black child. I can't remember what I was told but it was a very good answer. For some techinical reasons a person of this to colors always turns out black. I have also heard the simple explaniation is that a person is black or white because of the color of there skin. His skin is dark not light. If we didn't know anything about him & saw a picture of him & had to say what color he was we would say he is black.

Obama cannot be the first Black President because he is half-white.

Why is everybody so hung up on Obama's race? They act like that is the main factor and his best qualification for being president. Obama's black dad left him when he was two. He was raised by his white mother, who soon sent him to his white grandparents who raised him! He has never lived the "black experience."

This is the problem with Americans, you make such a big issue about race.

His personal identity is his choice. To American voters, the only fact worth considering is that he is American, and he is.
