Why is Obama planning to spend $15 billion a year for 10 years
to solve our energy crisis and nearly FIVE TIME that amount each year for 12 years to fight extreme poverty throughout the world?
If we don’t start making significant progress in solving our energy problem, and soon, WE are going to join the list of nation’s suffering from extreme poverty.

The laws have obviously changed since then and I'm turning 15 in a few months and a few of my friends have jobs but I don't know how I go about getting a job today. I would really appreciate if someone could give an up to date list of jobs and how to get a job create a CV etc. Thanks in advance to anyone whose kind enough to help :)

Because the energy issue will ultimately be solved by the market -- it just needs a push from the government.
There are no really good market solutions for poverty.
The US gives the smallest amount of its GDP for foreign aid.

But you have no problem spending $5 billion a MONTH in Iraq and Afghanistan. And how about the billions that will be spent rebuilding these countries.
I do question the waste in Washington, but your question is much too biased.

Why do the Republicans plan to continue wasting $12 billion a month on an Iraq welfare program that the Iraqis don't even want or need?

Bob Barr would be so much smarter.

Obama is ignoring the fact that the cost of administering the programs in Washington D.C. is sky high. We give them five, and four go to expenses, and one dollar gets out of Washington alive. 15 is flat to little to do what he wants to do, particularly since he plans to give some 2.2 trillion dollars to the illegal aliens in an amnesty.

The best answer is 10 years. Throwing more money at energy won't make it ready faster.

The two of those numbers combined are still under 2 percent of the GNP.

Isn't that less than what we're paying while in Iraq? Oh yeah...I forgot. Take care of those that may attack us first.

Compared to 300 billion a year for war!??!
