Inversing Power supply polarity - Can it damage
I just bought a device with no power supply. The instruction manual state that it needs a DC 9V put I don't see any polarity indication (in the manual or on the device itself). If I try one polarity and it is not the right one, can it damage the device?
The device is a Rolan V-Drum Brain Module TD-3 if it has any importance.

If the device is designed properly, reversing the polarity should not damage it. There should be a diode or something in there to protect against polarity reversal.
In fact, if there's no polarity indication, it's possible that it works on EITHER polarity (i.e. there's no "right" or "wrong" polarity). A device can easily be made to do this, but most manufacturers don't bother as it costs them extra pennies in production costs.
