Mythbusters to test Apollo conspiracy claims

I'll be watching it for sure, but sadly, even when presented with overwhelming evidence; the conspiricy claimers will find fault in the mythbusters methods, or will claim that NASA "fudged" the results in NASA's favor. You can bet on it.

This is what fascinates me about human nature. Once a person embraces a certain BELIEF, they hold onto it as if their life depended on it. It becomes part of their very reality.....and far be it for anyone to challenge their reality....even when presented with scientific evidence and or proof otherwise.

We will go back to the moon and most likely visit the historic sites where 12 brave Americans left their footprints for milleniums....and you can bet the looneys will come out from under their rocks with a whole new set of claims explaining how the spent lunar descent modules, rovers, scientific experiments (including the laser mirror reflectors) and footprints all got there.

People choose to be uninformed and allow their beliefs to frame their perceptions of the world......so what can you do?

You don't need an entire TV episode to tell you that these "conspiracy theories" are flawed and pathetic. But I'll watch just for the heck of it. I'm sure there will be a flood of questions after the episode airs.

Mark K is right. I doubt it will make a difference. These people are so ignorant in their ways, and are filled with such flawed logic that they will say that the government paid the mythbusters to say it was real. We have already won the battle even though it was a lost cause for the "conspiracy theorists" from the getgo. They need to accept it and move on.

The moon landing was real, and people are just too ignorant to see it.

EDIT: It looks as if the conspiracy theorists are already spreading out to knew, even more absurd ideas, and they aren't letting go of the moon landing either. After looking around on the internet, apparently the Mars rovers and the Hugens landings are all fake too. And did you guys know that according to some brilliant conspirators that the moon isn't real period? At first I thought it was a joke, but this is actually a real conspiracy theory. It is official everyone... conspiracy has reached a new low.

Apparently, it was only Apollo 11 that was hoaxed, and later moon missions being genuine. So, it will be only the Apollo 11 specific material that should be focused upon.

While there may be skepticism about this information - I have researched into this material for the past 5 years - and I really don't think it is fake, etc etc... but the opposite. Genuine.

And certainly interesting enough to follow up on... for many years to come.

It's too bad it is going to be right in the middle of the Democratic Convention. It will be nice to the Moon Hoax bunch eat some crow. Of course, if they don't stick with using only technology that was available in 1969 and before, it will be meaningless.

they could inspect the canyon that formed whilst Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980. whilst Spirit Lake became hit, it overflowed and formed a canyon that became a million/6 scale of grand canyon with diverse layers and metamorphic rock. This canyon formed in in basic terms some days. those archives could be examined to be sure despite if or not run-off after a flood could variety grand canyon in a reasonably short quantity of time as adverse to the evolutionary dogma of thousands and thousands of years.

No. The moon landings OCCURRED they have a laser pointed up to the moon to measure distance to and fro.
