Pronunciation help, Emo

I kept seeing the word "emo' used on here, decided too look it up. Wiki has a pronounciation thing for it, one of them is an inverted omega symbol.can someone use a couple of similair sounding words for an example?

Update:

Thanks everyone, I was pronouncing it that way without knowing, Wiki's help just confused me !

The E is just like you would normally say E, and the mo part sounds like you would say in emotional.

Basically it's just the first part of emotional, but some people say emotional differently, which is why I broke it down a little.

the inverted omega has the sound of the is part of a diphtong, and if forms an inseparable unit with the "o" that precedes it.

the diphtong oʊ reads exactly as the name of the letter O

    emo rhymes with "low"

    Ee - moe

Like in the word emotional, minus the tional.
