do you think smackdown will soon become the flagship show?

i think it may. i mean, because it now has like the best wrestlers!! and it has been getting all the main events at ppvs, and the show has just been better than raw these past few weeks! espcially the smackdown endings! raw's ending on monday got me soo mad! the new gm is... mike adamle! wtf? i waited soooo long to have someone as stupid as him be gm! as well as all the other endings, do yall agree with me? why or why not?

Update:

yea, i know the thing about moving to my network television. but i wish they would make it live. but hey, raw was never always live.........

I think it already is. How long, though, is up to WWE. WWE will always try to push Raw as the flagship show, but it's becoming more and more obvious that SD's getting better. And yeah, about the endings, SD's ending was awesome, whereas Raw's was disturbing. Of course, SD ends with mentions of Taker, so that helps. But otherwise, if you think about it, SD just has had better wrestling, like Shelton Benjamin being pushed, while you have talent on Raw who aren't getting pushed. Triple H hasn't done much since coming to SD, so SD's getting by on a bit of everything.

I don't think you and I will have the popular opinion, though.

    1. Hell in a Cell matches cannot be contested as a perfect match without blood. Disagree, Hell In A Cell matches can still be great if there's a couple of moments like someone falling off the roof or crashing through the side of the cell 2. Undertaker vs Edge at Wrestlemania 24 was overshadowed by Flair's retirement. Disagree 3. WWE should bring back the Cruiserweight division so guys like Evan Bourne, Chavo Guerrero and Kofi Kingston can contend for the title. Agree, Chavo career has died and Evan Bourne is not being used properly. 4. It was not the right time for AJ Styles to become the TNA world champion. I don't watch TNA 5. Wrestlemania will never ce the same without Undertaker and HBK. Right now, I tottatotallye Past, I disagree, Wrestlemania still had Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, Bret Hart, The Rock, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit. 6. Chris Benoit should be judged as a wrestler, not on his personal life. Agree, He was an awesome wrestler with tons of great moments. 7. Christian is wasting away on ECW and should be drafted to RAW or Smackdown as soon as possible. Agree, I was looking forward to his return but now that he's in ECW i'm not much of a fan of him. 8. Nigel McGuiness will have a more successful WWE career because he has more charisma. Who? 9. Hogan vs Flair in Australia will ruin Flair's retirement. Agree 10. Smackdown is the more entertaining WWE show, yet RAW is still labeled as WWE's flagship show. Agree, Raw just has DX for enterEntertainment I hate the new DX. We've seen it all in 2006 and 1998, It's just boring now.

  • No it will never be the flagship Smackdown is taped. Raw is live. But both shows are lacking big moments. When is the last im on either show a steal chair was used be beat the life out of somebody. The age of Rated RKO. Both shows need to step up why not throw John Cena and Batista in a cage. Why not Jeff Hardy versus Triple H in a TLC match where hardy finally captures a world title. Raw will always have history such as the biggest superstars ever like Stone Cold, John Cena, Undertaker (origannly), and Triple H (a RAW superstar at heart).

People are saying Smackdown will become the flagship show but I don't think it can happen. It doesn't matter if RAW lacks good GMS, refs, lighting, theme song, they are simply always going to be the best. Smackdown can't be the flagship show if they don't have the flaghship wrestlers. Even if all of those wrestlers are being used poorly it's a fact that RAW is the most delveloped program in WWE. Remember RAW still has Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, Batista, John Cena, JBL, Kane, CM Punk, Randy Orton, and a few soon-to-be main eventers. Pretty soon Orton and Myserio are going to return and all 9 of those massive egos are going to clash and become competitive over one title. The momentum is going to pick up and the mid-carders like Lance Cade are going to get "rubs" from the main eventers on RAW. Meanwhile the supposed main-eventers on Smackdown are going to be stuck giving rubs to each other and developing each others characters. I was sure Smackdown would get screwed after the draft and thats why I was campaiging hard for Cena and Jericho to jump to Smackdown. That way all of the fans are turning heads just to see what he'll do next on Smackdown. It would have taken the attention off of RAW. The Undertaker or HHH could have their best match ever, but if the other superstars like Jeff Hardy, Mr. Kennedy, MVP, are being pushed aside to make room for The Great Khali vs HHH for Summerslam then they'll never get anywhere. Just remember RAW had to go through Evolution murdering half of the RAW roster, and Eric Bishoff screwing over the other half. But they survived because they continued to have the most innovative matches and biggest talent. Smackdown was the friendly "B" show having Torrie Wilson win bikini contests every Thursday while RAW was being dominated by Scott Steiner, Test, Goldberg, Stone Cold, The Rock, HHH, Shawn Michaels, Kane, Chris Jericho and many other wrestlers. I think Smackdown still faces that same problem with not enough attention being put on their product.

Yea. I have been watching RAW for ages and same as Smackdown! but i do think Smackdown! is getting better storylines especially with the return of the Undertaker and now that RAW has Mike Adamle which will spoil it. But you never know, Mike Adamle might throw in some storylines to turn RAW around, but i don't think he will do such a good job!

Smackdown did receive a lot more talent after the draft lottery.

However, Raw is always going to be the flagship show. The reason why is because that's the show where McMahon focuses on the most. That's the show that he appears on the most. That's the show that features the biggest special event for the company.

I think that Smackdown! will become the main show because they have everything they need to beat out RAW.

They have tons of great young talent like Brian Kendrick, MVP, Mr. Kennedy, Shelton Benjamin, and Carlito. But they also have older, big name guys to balance it out. Guys like Undertaker, Triple H, Big Show, and Gregory Helms.

They also have several fantastic storylines going right now:

The Jeff Hardy/MVP fued has great potential because both men are very talented and Jeff's real life problems are being used to fuel the fire and put emotion into the storyline, something the WWE has been lacking for years.

Undertaker and Edge storyline is getting better as well because Edge is reverting back to his old self, not the pansy husband of Vickie that can't win without interference. Their hell in a cell match, iof done properly, will be the hands down best match at Summerslam. Adding Mick foley into the storyline was an interesting and unexpected twist.

Smackdown's announce team is also better than RAW's.

Jim Ross and Foley, one an in ring legend and the other a commentating legend beats the hell out of Cole and King. Not because RAW's commentators don't have talent but because they have no chemistry.

RAW's main eventers are almost all faces- Cena, Batista, Mysterio, CM Punk, Shawn Michaels, Kofi Kingston...

While they steal the show great talents like Hardcore Holly, Chris Jericho, Lance Cade, Paul London, and Val Venis are left in the shadows. And for God's sake, Adamle is their GM. I'm not a big fan of Vickie but she is far better then him.

So yes, Smackdown is going to be the leader of WWE.

No, they will never have Smackdown be the A-Show while Raw is around. Raw gets far better ratings and has much better wrestlers on the show. Everything in the WWE revolves around Raw. Smackdown may have great matches and such, but it will never have the talent of Raw.

Raw used to be all raw had wwes version of ecw was sickining and smackdown was boring but when they lost 1 of the biggest announcers JR they lost I love listening to him go all god!!! and of course HHH now smackdown and raw traded titles smackdown is the new raw

RAW will always be the flagship show, but Smackdown might be the better show for the foreseeable future. Of course they want the show to be good because they are changing networks...and they want their ratings to be up when they get there.
