It is Far from DRY! I am 25 with a fiance and we LOVE IT! We go atleast once a year! It is so much fun, tons to do everywhere. I would say its exactly what California is missing! There is a main strip that everything in the world is on!!

Check out the UPSIDE DOWN MUSEUM- it will trip you out,

get old time photos made together,

ride all the scary bungie rides that are on the strip,

take a helicopter ride thru the smokies- cheap and awesome!

go whitewater rafting on a level 3 its heart racing & 1 1/2 hrs long!

Gatlinburg is Pigeon Forge pretty much. I think they're in the same county, and they are on the same strip/road maybe a 4 minute drive in between all the nightlife & beer is there!!!

go skiing anytime of the year- there's a lift on the strip that will take you up the mountain- very thrilling!! slide down on skis or a sled

get ready to shop....it looks like a minature new york , new york so many people walking, so many advertisments, stores, name brands everywhere, rivers running thru, bands outside everywhere,

the difference of "country lifestyle" is everyone is extremely "welcoming, polite, and family-orianted". "everybody calls you friend basically". You don't get that kind of attention anywhere else in the WORLD!!

My favorite resturants were Jonny Curino's (just like Olive Garden but better! )

Happy Dayz dinner ( 70's themed) Pigeon Forge

There are tons of the regular fast food joints and I suggest using those because you will be spending your big money on allthe cool activities around you!!

Have fun!! Let me know how it turns out!

The grand hotel, and patriotgetaway.com is the best lodging accomadations!

are you an outdoor person? The Smoky Mountains are beautiful, go into the park near Townsend, TN and visit Cades Cove, or hike up to various waterfalls and mountains.

You can rent 4wheelers or go horseback riding.

Gatlinburg is kind of this huge tourist trap but the Aquarium is pretty cool.

There are lots of dinner theatre shows in Pigeon Forge - the hoot n holler is really good.

and an awesome Muscle Car museum - Floyd Garretts in Sevierville.

The Wonderworks (I think thats what its called) is a pretty cool interactive museumy hands on sciency thing that adults can enjoy. Ive had beer at Red Lobster, O Charleys and other establishments, and you can buy liquor and beer at the gas stations so I think you are good there.

    Source(s): love it there

there isn't alot of restaurant/bars there is a couple of places where you can dance there is several liquor stores but for the most part there is no party atmosphere this is a family town and get caters to families.dont waste your money or your time on the Ripley's haunted house, and in PF dont ride the boat its a big waste of money,be sure a take at least one hike and dont forget to drive through roaring fork for bear sightings
