most christians believe god knows everything 'omniscient' so why did he give humans freewill to cause chaos ?

however, there is evil and suffering in the world, and so either god is not good or god is not all powerful, or god does not exist

Apparently God STRONGLY believes in free will.

The truth as I know it:

Satan accused God of forcing the angels to do everything he wants. At the time of that accusation, all the angels were obedient to God. God needed to prove his innocence, that he indeed supports free will. 1/3 of the angels sided with Satan and there was war in heaven. God threw them all out of heaven unto the earth where Adam and Eve lived. Satan spoke to Eve and mentioned that there was an alternative, you didn't have to do what God wants.

God needs to be vindicated in the presence of the whole universe. It so happens that we are the experiment to prove that God is right and all beings that he created have free will, and Satan is a liar.

Yes. 1) Keep in mind... he said this to Adam when He asked it. God knew where Adam was... He was speaking to him. God was getting Adam to admit to Him, freely, where he was. 2) Free will requires choice of good/bad. 3) How does not undermine freewill? I'm not sure how it DOES undermine it. God is so powerful, and all knowing... that He can even create a creature that has free will, while still being all knowing. He's just that powerful. To suggest anything less would make Him not God. 4) He does do this. But, the person still exhibits freewill. God's grace is open to all people in Christ.

God gave freewill in order to test man and see whether he will choose the right path or the other path.

Therefore, man can be accountable for his actions and not blame anyone but himself for any misdeeds.

Or God is good and gives us freewill. He gives us freewill because if he didn't than it wouldn't be real love. A doll that says "I Love You" isn't really loving because it doesn't have a choice.

He created beings with free will because he wanted people not robots as children.(By the way it was only after Adam and Eve sinned that our world became broken and imperfect)

If God did not give us the choice to do evil, then we would be like robots programed to love and obey him. That would not be real love.

Do your parents get you dressed every morning?

Do they spoon feed you cereal?

Do your parents walk you to school?

Do they sit next to you in the classromm and make sure you listen to your teacher and write down notes?

If not, then why would God who created man to make mature decisions do everything for us?

He gave us intelligence, He gave us reason.

He gave us the capacity to care for our fellow man.

If we do not do our part, why should we blame Him for our mistakes?

The plan was to create loving beings. In order to love and have it mean anything he had to allow free will.

The world is his pachinko machine. God loves pachinko.
