Watching movies from my MacBook to my TV.

Hi folks,

I just got this TV "Sony Bravia W-Series KDL-46W3000 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV" but know I need help please! :)

I want to watch movies from my MB to my tv, how can I do that? Please advice with specific cables. I was searching for cables but there are a lot and I got confused :(

    You get Apple TV, which is a small box that receives the wireless signals from your MacBook, and sends them to your TV.

    First check and see if your tv has a VGA or a DVI input.

    Then purchase the 'Macbook to VGA' or 'Macbook to DVI' adapter since the basic Macbook's don't have a direct interface. Obviously, get the adapter that matches the tv's input capability. After getting the adapter, you'll still need to purchase the actual cable. At this point, your buying a standard DVI or VGA cable (male to female)

    The adapter itself is a pig-tail wire so it's only about 6 inches long. Be sure to get a long enough video cable to run from the laptop to the tv safely.

    UPDATE:

    You can do it wirelessly, but may not be as cost-effective for only frequent usage. If your TV has PC Video Input, I'm betting its a simple VGA cable. That port on the tv should be blue in color if I'm right. $30 or less online, call it a day.
