Liberals, what is your vision for America?

I've had trouble understanding what exactly liberals hope to achieve and often find liberal-minded people self-contradicting. Instead of just blasting you ignorantly, I'd like for you to explain to me what your hopes and vision are for America's tomorrow.

A return to fair taxing as under Clinton, careful consideration before military action, upholding the bill of rights.

A nation free of reliance on antiquated policies and able to sustain itself via renewable energy technologies.

The world leader in technology, the world leader in human rights.

A strong nation that secures itself with a strong national defense, not a moronic national offense or preemptive illegal attacks.

A fair tax system that doesn't give bias to those with the most money or the best legal advice that can find the easiest loopholes to get out of paying a fair share.

A nation that puts education at the top of priorities.

A nation that ensures all citizens have equal and fair access to health care.

A nation that supports the Constitution and the basic tenets this great nation was founded on.

    Good enough for starters.

Taxes that will finance the government and not impoverish the poor and middle class. Fairer taxation (why do the wealthy have more options to avoid taxes?). Affordable health care. Alternative energies used on a regular basis, with a combination of usage. For example, having an electric car to go around town, charge at night. Gas-powered car for long distances. Cleans the environment AND lowers prices on gas and electricity, by spreading the demand out.

Why can't all children in the US be eligible to go to public university free of charge? Education is the key to wealth. Why can't every American be eligible for health care (cuz it's obvious that some folks are needing some serious mental health treatment with some of the questions I have seen on YA.) That would be a serious start.

I'm hoping that America will begin to prosper again. I'm also hoping that America will become less divided than we are now. I also hope that people who NEED medical treatment will be able to get it, even if they can't afford it. I'd like to see EVERYONE who wants a quality education can get one, even if their families can't afford it. We need to have an educated population in order to have a government we can trust.

Jessica we would all like those things, but liberalism isn't gonna give them to us. So I think the real question is how do you think that liberlism WILL give us those things?
