Besides a suit, how can I look like a spy?
For a movie I'm making. I don't really have a suit or tuxedo at my disposal.
Haha, I mean the kind of spies that make no effort to hide themself, like Maxwell Smart.

Hm...I'd go with a classic black jean/slack, and a black or dark blue dress shirt, no tie. And a pair of dark sunglasses- the ultimate spy attire.

You don't need a suit unless its scene appropriate. Dress in the style of clothing that the other actors in the scene are wearing.
A bad spy shows up to a baseball game in a tuxedo.

Well, a shoe-phone is advisable--you can buy one at any shoe-phone store.
Back to the point: If you have a dark overcoat and sunglasses, this would be the time. A dark hat is also a good idea. This is the most obvious spy--the man who is conspicuously inconspicuous.
