Fenugreek for inducing labor?
Just curious if anyone has tried this?
I know traditionally its used to increase milk supply for those who are nursing. But I've been reading online that it can also be used to induce contractions/labor if your close to your due date.
I'm due tomorrow, have been 4cm for over a week, had my membranes stripped and am getting desperate. I'm scheduled for an induction next Thursday (8/14) but would like to avoid that if possible.
This is my 3rd child and I thought for sure this little one would be here by now so I'm trying alternative methods.
I just wanted to add I've done all the home remedies already:
sex, walking, spicy food, nipple stimulation, pineapple, had my membranes stripped, etc...
The only thing I havent tried is castor oil and I'm not brave enough to venture down that alley LOL

Fenugreek sounds like a good idea. I think I would try it with my next child just to help my milk supply come in sooner.
Fenugreek seeds are a common spice in Indian cooking. Because people in India don't commonly have preterm labor I'm not so sure how they would work, but compared to harsher things like castor oil, I think fenugreek would be a great idea to try.

I have two children and for both I tried the three s. Sex, Spicy food, and Stairs. I am really not to sure about fenugreek, but try my suggestion . I hope it works. I know how it can be when you are ready and the baby isn't. GOOD LUCK!

The day earlier than I became 38 weeks with my first boy my midwife prompt purple rasberry tea she even had a photo of the field and it was once the celestial seasoning rasberry zinger. The health facility despatched me dwelling since I was once best a million cm. That night time I was once so uncomfortable. I went to pee and couldn't get again up and even stroll. I wiped myself and on the grounds that my husband was once at paintings my dad needed to bring me. I had my youngster at nine am the following day.

I know it's probably the last thing on you mind but just try having sex. It always worked for me. Good Luck
