I saw an interview with Girardi on YES before a game a few days ago and he said he didn't realize that it would become such a big story, and that he just simply didn't want guys loading up on junk food before games, since that's unhealthy and thus cutting that out is better overall for the performance of the team. He also mentioned something abbout introducing healthier alternatives like trail mix or energy bars or something. Personally I think it's a little too much, like micro managing and going too far into the players' lives, but I also think that it's being blown out of proportion. I mean from his point of view, he just made a small clubhouse rule probably because he saw guys eating ring dings before a game once and thought that they could do better. Making a clubhouse ban on candy probobly wasn't the best move, but it's not like it's a big deal to any of the players that they can't eat candy, so, it is what it is.

Really Billy, I believe we can put this in the universal language of mathematics, and transcend ordinary hyperbole.
What we are trying to accomplish here can be expressed thusly:
Let A= Accomplishment
A=Diddly÷Squat

at the moment, answering someones questions to get points...which accomplishes nothing particularly important. It's not the destination, it's road to it.
