Need helping importing video to vista from my panasonic PV-GS19 camera

I guess the camera is not compatible with vista and is not recognized. Is there any way I can get this to work or be recognized? I just bought a new computer and really don't want to buy a new camera. I am not good with computers, so speak in easy terms.....LOL

That's a miniDV tape based camcorder. Transferring - importing - DV by USB is not supported. Install a firewire port and get that working, then use a firewire cable to connect the camcorder's DV port to the firewire port on the computer. Since you did not tell us which computer, we can't know if there are expansion ports available or if maybe it already has a 1394 port.

Firewire, IEEE1394a, i.LONK and DV are all the same thing.

Panasonic PV-GS320 data in Mini DV applying the comparable compression as DV,you may convert it to extra hassle-unfastened mov,mp4 format this is effortless to import into iMovie 09.with a bit of luck it works!
