COUNTER OPENING FOR RANGE/OVEN CABINET

Are all drop-in electric range/ovens made for the same size openings? If I buy a used 4 burner range with single oven will it fit where the old one was in the counter/cabinet? I am not worried about the electric, just the cabinet. Thanks in advance for your help.

Update:

Are there common sizes or does every one of them require a different opening?

They are not all the same size, close, but no.

If the "new" one you buy is larger, that is usually a simple fix with increasing the opening. If it is smaller you can purchase a trim kit to hide the difference in opening size and unit size.

There are common sizes only in so far as they will fit a specific size of cabinet,,, 24", 27", 30", 36", etc.

Best bet is measure the existing unit in as many different ways as you can think of and take those dimensions with you.
