Why does Amplifier only work on Radio and not CD?

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP4026 Front Loader; I have installed a Star Sound 400 watts; 2 channel amplifier. PROBLEM:

Amplifier switches off as soon as I switch to CD........ Only works FM.\

    Make sure that you are using the remote wire and not the power antenna wire. If, you have both.

    If you don't have both you will have to splice into a switched 12 volt line. Like the ignition wire on the radio.

    Your amplifier's remote wire is probably connected to a blue wire behind the radio. That's a power antenna output. Switch it to the blue/white wire instead.

    Your CD player probably has 2 or 3 rca inputs.

    Your amp might be hooked into the wrong inputs.

    Try changing them up.
