Why does the media jump quickly on Republicans, but take alot of time when it comes to democrats?

Especially when it comes to sexual misconduct, the media is quick to be judge and jury and point out duplicity, unlawful acts, etc. it seems they are very slow when it comes to a democrat being involved. Why is that?

Update:

Awww come on now? National Enquirer broke this story MANY days ago...it is only now that the rest of the media are presenting it after Edwards lied and said no way the Enquirer was true!

Update 2:

wdx...lol read what you wrote

Update 3:

Julien... Dude..when did the media finally expose Clinton for what he really did? How long were the lies perpertrated?

Update 4:

Is it liberty when the truth is witheld by the media? Is that media wanting the truth to be known or witholding the truth for the sake of their bias?

Update 5:

Silver...we knew what hand signals and foot moves Craig did under the bathroom stalls immediately ...and I agree that should be told..it was wrong as wrong can be!

My opinion. I hear to hurry Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, they don't argue incredibly and not often ever enable an opposing viewpoints get with the aid of. in simple terms like Howard Stern (the announcer) they have their very own schedule and in case you disagree with them they drown you out. previously the previous due 1980's the regulation stated media firms had to grant critiques on the two aspects of a controversy. Congress come to a decision that their have been a plethora of media shops and did not choose the "fairness media regulation".

I don't know that I agree with that. The Larry Craig is gay story was sat on for 4 months by the biggest paper in Idaho until his guilty plea was uncovered by Rollcall.

I don't think the press is more quick to jump on either side when it comes to scandals. The press is looking for ratings and they don't care who they destroy to get them.

They may have been hesitant to jump on the Edwards story because he's a trial lawyer who probably wouldn't hesitate to bring suit against them and because the original source, The Enquirer, has a long history or rumor mongering and flat out lying.

EDIT: Alltheway, did you read the link I provided?

The Idaho Statesmen, which is operated by the 2nd biggest newspaper corp. in the country, interviewed him about his extramarital affairs a month before he was arrested in that airport. They didn't report what they knew then. They didn't report it after his arrest or when he pled guilty.

They finally told what they knew only after another source uncovered his guilty plea several weeks after it happened.

Come on, now. When the news about Edwards was released at 3 p.m. this afternoon, Fox, MSNBC and CNN talked about virtually nothing else for the next two hours or so (when I had to go to work).

The media may over-cover this sort of issue, but ask Larry Craig or Bill Clinton or Newt Gingrich if it plays favorites.

Just further proof of our left wing liberal bias Democrat loving media. If you ever doubted it, you know the truth today. They all knew about it, yet didn't run the story. I also like how they always refer to President Bush as MR. Bush and Clinton as President Clinton. Any story where a Republican does wrong they repeat "Republican" many, many times. If the person is a Democrat, they don't refer to him being a Democrat at all. Very, very biased and then they wonder why 50% of their ratings are down.

Conflict of interest. Its called executive editing. Its no secret who owns the majority of the media and where their political ties lie.

It is all part of a vast liberal media conspiracy. Edwards is a schmuck. His wife is fighting cancer and he has been running around with other women. I was a one time supporter, but no longer.

Because it's a liberal media, owned by liberals with their own interests in mind.

WHAT??? Dude you got it backwards. They jumped on Clinton's ***, and he was a DEMOCRAT....

And to all you douches, it is not a liberal bias, and btw, what is wrong with liberal anyway, it's liberty, the same idea you right wingers love to hold out when you go out and massacre thousands.
