What will be America's role in the end times?

There are many people who identify the Babylon mentioned within Revelation as America, but this interpretation is strained, at best. In my opinion, the only place where a person can *reasonably* infer that America is referred to is at Ezekiel 38:13, where the prophet mentions the "young lions" of Tarshish. Archaeological evidence has proven that Tarshish was what is today known as the United Kingdom, especially Great Britain -- which spread via colonies, which the Bible always refers to as "young lions." Therefore, the colonies begun or substantially supported by Great Britain (America, Canada, etc.) are the "young lions." If you read Ezekiel 38 & 39 carefully, you'll see that the world, along with the "young lions," pretty much does nothing when Israel is invaded by Russia, Iran and other Muslim Middle Eastern nations in the "latter days," also known as the "end times" (see Eze. 38:16). This could be because we can't do anything due to incapacitating pre-emptive attacks, or because we don't want to do anything due to weak leadership or anti-Israeli sentiment.

As for the rest of the end times, America will do the same thing that all the other nations will do: most will support the Antichrist and reap their due punishment from God; a very few will repent and receive a reward.

God the Son was put into Creation to create. At the end, He should sit on the Throne in Heaven, what means, men would be blesed too much by creation. By other words, Industrialization and our modern age mean that God the Son sits on the Throne (Revelation 5:13).

God the Son is the Saviour and therefore His stepping on the Throne (Revelation 5:1-6) means also to bring the Gospel in all countries (Matthew 24:14) Preaching the Gospel must run, it has started. To evangelize the world must not be painful because God the Son is on the Throne and therefore He has established the country which should be on His side. The Gospel should be preached in freedom and therefore Democracy is the field for it. God has chosen USA to be the horse (power) which would make conditions for the Gospel. USA is the White horse.

In the beginning, USA was not the superpower but was established in order to be superpower (he rode as conquer bent on conquest (Revelation 6:2). They defeated many different horses in the world of Christianity and in the Middle East. USA finally has become the superpower as we see it today. This means the riding of USA is at the conclusion.

Also Bible are spread into all world and Gospel reached in all nations. The evangelical doing is also at the conclusion because mockers of the Gospel uses more freedom than preachers of the Gospel.

USA was not hit by destructive wars etc, because got God's favor. Now time comes when God will punish USA for their sins during their crusade for the superpower.

This will happen after the Rapture. God will not need any power to support the Gospel anymore and USA may fall.

After the Rapture, world events will run mostly in the Middle East and in Asia and thus USA will not be a superpower anymore.

The natural catastrophe described in the sixth Seal should hurt mostly USA.

As for those who say that the US is not mentioned in the bible and all the other crap haven't ever read the bible... ever.There are prophecies in the old testament about things that happened hundreds of years later. When people read and tend to translate incorrectly shows how irresponsible and naive they are. When the Bible says Israel, he doesn't mean the country that was established half century ago. Israel was the name God gave to Jacob. So Israel is the Children of Jacob. So Jesus that is the last descendant of Jacob and because He is the Messiah and Son of Man who came to give all the world His love "gave birth to New Israel" through the baptism which means that all Christians are Sons of Israel, since we are Jesus brothers.

The revelation does not say where the battle will happen for a reason. Armageddon is metaphorical.Would it mean anything to God if we knew when everything was going to happen and prepare the hour before that?

But it says that the signs will come in all the world. Why mention US specifically? Do you think that the US is a country that needs special treatment?.

The have removed the name of Jesus from any governmental area and public place not to insult other religions.There is nothing in this country that could make anyone say that it is a blessed country. Major problem is always economy and money,money,money....should I go on? Mammon? God wants us humble and to repent and not pretend to be superior because that will not please Him at all.So if you are not a Christian, no need to try and insult Jesus and His words and Gods word, and if you are, then you should consider revising your ideas and believes about this country we live in because Jesus will not Judge US of America because it is nothing. He will Judge every single one separately so be prepared. Stop hiding behind nobody and look in to the light because US is not the light but Jesus is. He did not say " USA is the light, he who follows "it"(USA) shall not live in the darkness but will gain the light of life! The President will not be judged for your actions and sins. You will be judged and nothing can change that.

The U.S. is mentioned in Revelation, it is given the metaphorical name of the Great City of Babylon. Read chapters 15-18 of Revelation. The place described as the center of the destruction is described as obsessed with wealth and luxury and other nations of the world must cater to it. If that is not enough to convince you, read verses 17 through 21 in chapter 16, then go to http://www.livescience.com/ and do a search of articles on "super volcanoes" and the "Yellowstone super volcano."

Read past the scientific mumbo jumbo, there is enough in plain English for you to understand -- if you understand what happens during a volcanic eruption, which includes climate change from the sulfure dioxide thrown into the air, thunder, lightening, and enormous earthquakes -- that the destruction described in Revelation chapter 16, verses 17 through 21, is an eruption of a super volcano (hundred-pound hailstones, earthquakes of unfathomable magnitude that crumbles buildings around the world). Then note again the description of the Great City of Babylon and then note again the reality of America and then note again that the Yellowstone super volcano is the one super volcano in the world that is due for an eruption and that is active, meaning it will have an eruption.

Only those who deny science, deny truth, cannot see this. You have to deny the scientific truth of the Yellowstone super volcano to not see this. Put the pieces together, and note that chapter 18 mentions an exodus of true followers of God out of the modern Babylon before its destruction. People will deny the truth, Americans are so good at lies, at telling them and at believing them, but the science is the science and we are THE world super power and we are obsessed with wealth and luxury and nothing will stop that volcano from erupting on the day and hour that God has it erupt and God is letting us know that it is going to erupt, for it is due for an eruption and it is active, it will erupt and when it does, it will destroy pretty much everything on this continent and only divine intervention will save any life on the planet. Read the science.

And, as someone else said, there is no rapture mentioned, it is a purge, not a rapture.

so the question, What will the eagle or lion be doing daring Tribulations after the rapture? That is a good question and I do not have the answer. Are we still in existence then, after 1/4 of mankind, ships, and trees have been destroyed.?

The US is mentioned in the Bible but you have to know what the name is for it. The anti-Christ will come from Europe or at least be European.

As far as what the role will be in the end times, it looks like the US is about to come under severe judgment. We don't know exactly what is going to happen. The terrorists plan to take over and there are many over here teaching jihad against this nation.

I do not believe in the Rapture, but in the Second Coming countries will not exist after the millennium. It will take the 1000 yeas before every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess.

Why would the US be mentioned in the Bible? It wasn't around when the Bible was written. The Bible was written by human beings, so God had to make sure they could understand it.

No one knows exactly what will happen during the end times, or when they will begin. Anyone who claims to know details (like which country does what) is lying.

The United States of America will be right in the middle of

Jer-USA-lem, where it has always been.

More seriously, as, the eagle is the symbol of the USA, is the USA the eagle assisting Israel in Revelation 12:13-15

I'm not for sure. Try studying the books of Daniel and Revelation. they talk about the end times. If you need some help studying that kind of stuff, I hear Beth Moore has some really good books to help study the Bible.
