Distorted red colors on HDTV

For some reason, the color red distorts on the HD channels on my TV. I don't think it's my TV, b/c when I pause the and rewind to the distorted graphic (i.e. the red ring on the olympics graphic), the distortion is there even in freeze frame? What is this??

If this is a crt type tv and the red is flagging to the right of edges, you probably have a picture tube that is getting weak. You may be able to compensate for this problem by turning down the color, brightness and contrast level settings in the setup menu. If you are refering to a crt type rear projection set, then you may have a convergence problem and need to re-adjust the cross-hair setting or have the convergence circuit repaired. Need more info on brand and model to advise any further

To remark on the guy above: the transition to digital does not be conscious to cable. Analog (customary) cable will nevertheless artwork (and be available) after the transition. to respond to your question, there is no longer something incorrect with customary cable on a clean HDTV. the image would be slightly stretched because of the fact the television would be wider, whether it is not noticable adequate to hardship you. Plus, the television ought to have settings in its menu to accomodate for this. the clarification he needs you to get digital cable is so as which you would be able to get HD channels, which look lots extra powerful than customary channels. So in short, customary cable will artwork proper on a clean HDTV.

The blue and green cables in the back of your tv might be loose. Make sure they are tight.
