Why do people in Oreos commercials open the cookie?

Then they lick the inside filling, put it back together and dunk it in the milk. Why open the cookie if they're going to put it back together again right away? I don't see the point. Is this some kind of weird instruction guide on how to eat the cookie? I just dunk and eat it...

Update:

EDIT - but they're not eating all the frosting, they lick it once, then put the cookie back together. The filling by itself is too sweet, it needs to be balanced with the chocolate cookie! Why unscrew it just to lick it once?

For all of those who say it's an old tradition I'd like to ask, "How old are you?". I'm 71, have been eating Oreo's since I was a kid and never saw that until it appeared on a commercial a few years ago. Old tradition my fanny. It's an Oreos commercial tradition ONLY.

Some people like getting a taste of the icing all by itself, without any cookie or milk touching it. Plus it's the company's way of showing that there is a "lot" of icing in the cookie. If there is enough to eat some out of the middle and still put it back together, that means you must be getting a good deal for your money. (that's the advertising behind it)

Cause, A kid will eat the middle of an oreo first and save the chocolate cookie outside for last. lol Also it taste better after the cream in the middle is gone when you dunk it in the milk. Sort of like chocolate cake and a cold glass of milk.

What have you all never eaten Oreos before???

You open the cooking eat the frosting, then eat the cookie.

Eating the frosting first is very common with Oreos.

It's kind of an old tradition, to lick the cream out of the inside and then put the cookie back together. Myself, I like to keep the cookie together and eat it whole. It's just an old tradition.

Because when u really think about it the white fluffy filling is what people like most about Oreos

Because the icing is sooo good. I just eat the icing not the cookie because it makes my teeth black in the back.
