What more can I do ?
Council have issued a parking fine as my disabled parking permit was out of date a few weeks. Had a new one but waiting on son to change them over as fixed to the dashboard. I went in to advise them and show my new permit as I had had it for a few weeks but they are saying they cannot remove the fine which is over $200.....

Well as it's a few weeks out of date, the council will be thinking you have had plenty time to have it sorted. I personally wouldn't rely on anyone else to do it. I'd struggle and get it done myself. You could always just put the new one up on the dash when ever you park.

It was your fault that you did not renew the permit in time. You should pay the fine. In fact, it should be your son that should pay the fine since your son did not change them over in time which caused you to get a fine in the first place.

Appeal it, contact the solicitor and ask that they help as you cannot afford fine and you have proof of permit and show proof. They can remove fine, they are being har headed about this issue. Contact you local representative, go to the newspaper, the television.

Unfair it seem to be but my mom recently got fined for $120 because it didn't have a city sticker when it was park.
Want to disbute that?
We can't resist the fine either because the city will order a towing service.

Tell them you cant afford it and they will have to send you to jail instead - go to the newspaper about it - go to your elected representative - stage a sit in
