I am doing the yates (australia) flower garden challenge and have just received my seeds so off I go planting my garden with a purpose.------excitement plus ! receiving the seeds and waiting for the reward---a colorful flower garden. Part of the challenge is taking photos and posting on the Yates site.

Just had a 10 minute attempt at go cart racing and glad oh so glad I only paid for a 10 minute experience. It certainly was exciting and the longest 10 minutes I have ever enjoyed.

when driving I usually make room for another car that indicates moving into my lane especially if it's due to road works. It always brings a smile to my face when the driver raises his hand as a thank you.

Using my expensive soap my better half complained that it produced no suds and would probably last for ever....he had over looked the plastic wrapping and had been rubbing himself with plastic !

my special shoes from the podiatrist wore to the point where a shoe repairer advised he couldn't help me as I needed to take them to a special place for rebuilding....if they were worth it so it sounded pricey however I used shoe glue (the stuff you paint on each surface and wait 15 min to dry before pressing together) and cut out bits from my old bike tyres and it worked my shoes are again comfy !

just made flaky pastry tarts delicious I used the griller and frozen pastry and it was fast and worked well !

after years of contemplating I have purchased a new folding bike-----a silver model that comes in a bag ahhh such excitement. My balance however is not good even though I am so enthusiastic so time for training wheels perhaps ? So has anything caused you to be so excited just lately ?

There were lots of great presents but have to thank my ex (not easy) for the unusual-----a book of swimming pool tickets. Only attend occasionally but probably wouldn't if I didn't have the book.

I received an awful fine for parking in a disabled site and not noticing that my permit had expired. I had the new permit just had not got around to sticking it in (also have carpal tunnel syndrome)after much toing and frowing the council did waive the fine but it took a lot of time and effort. Also tried to fine my business partner even though I had been writing and conferring with them !

down under we call 000 in a life threatening situation. I was stressed when I called as I was confronting a drunk man with a knife. They gave me the 3rd degree as I wasn't stabbed so not life threatening !

have just bought a new set with curved rims which are really nice to use.

have planted lots and all are spectacular when in blossom but the mulberry has to be the most pleasant---large and shady with lovely big leaves---delicious if you are a silk worm also a pleasant shade of green

Council have issued a parking fine as my disabled parking permit was out of date a few weeks. Had a new one but waiting on son to change them over as fixed to the dashboard. I went in to advise them and show my new permit as I had had it for a few weeks but they are saying they cannot remove the fine which is over $200.....

owned the house over a decade ago and buried container in back yard then in the rush of selling forgot. Personal things but would be of some value probably....not that much...metal box about 2ft x 1ft small

Just found a book at my friend's house on household hints-- my favourite so thought I'd ask about your finds .

now I find advice on memorising figures but still good to know and easy 0= ball or ring 1=pen 2=swan 3=handcuffs 4= yacht (my favourite) 5 = pregnant woman 6= pipe 7= boomerang 8 = snowman 9 = tennis racket then if you need to memorise a series of numbers you can make an unforgettable story ( thanks to may issue of readers digest)
