A few days ago my wife winked at me and gave me the impression I was into something good. I was quickly brought down to earth when she made me realize she was just joking with my daughter about something. Oh well, it was a good thought while it lasted.

Learning to live with my daughter's puppy, now 5 months old and huge, has been an adventure. My oldest daughter and her husband are relocating from Mississippi back to our area in Central Florida. She is staying with us, as she starts her new job and her husband tries to sell their house in MS. She brought along a puppy and a cat.

My house has not been puppy-proofed. I have relearned the fact that puppies will chew, and even swallow, just about anything! It has been much like having a toddler in the house; only worse! Batteries can not be left sitting on a counter; the grandpuppy can reach the counter and she will grab the battery and run off to another room. I am now greeted by being charged by an excited puppy whose whole body wiggles with glee. The puppy is an attention hog; if I don't keep a constant eye on her she will chew up a floor mat, or if we are outside she will dig a tunnel through the dirt. She tries to treat the cat like a playmate; the cat is an unwilling playmate and the two of them race through the house. She thinks the nozzle on the outdoor hose is a toy; watering plants is now play time. She is still learning manners; she barks and tries to get other dogs out on a walk to come play, and it is tough trying to get her to walk on the leash without yanking my arm out of its socket when she smells something interesting. She is not completely housebroken yet; and so my husband and I have both stepped in a 'landmine' she has left on the floor.

I am thrilled to have my daughter and her pets here; but sometimes I feel like I'm in the Doris Day movie "Please Don't Eat the Daisies". It is a good thing my new grandpuppy, I call her PeePoo, is so adorable.

Just last week on a cruise. We went under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco twice and a couple of days later the Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver, BC. Both beautiful sights to behold. Oh yes, also when the juggler dropped the pins during the ships entertainment the last night. That is about it. I think his nickname is Mr. Excitement.

We bought a couple bikes at a garage sale. They're in my garage, waiting for the grandkids to visit. I keep getting tempted when I see them there, but I know better. My balance is awful, these days.

As for excitement, I tried out for the community theater a couple weeks ago. Actually got a decent part this year! Promises to be a very exciting summer!

The bike sounds like fun. It's been many years since I've ridden one but apparently as the saying goes it's something we're not supposed to forget.

The last time I had some fun was yesterday when my two young Granddaughters came round to visit and we got the giggles when we chased after poor Grandad around the garden with a worm.

I haven't seen him take off like that in a long time.!!

I thought that you all would come up with some really funny answers for this one! Come on now.

I know my balance isn't good enough for bike anymore. I tried skates and broke my arm. IN the emergency room I was bawling my eyes out, it wasn't the pain, I was grieving never being able to skate again. I wish I had skated earlier. I didn't realize it was a privilege that I'd have to give up.

I think my last excitement was when the neighbor dogs came over and my dogs ran chasing them home with me cheering them on. lol My border collie isn't that aggressive, but my jack russel would eat em if she could get her mouth open that wide.

Since I am home most of the time, going to the Dollar General Store has become the highlight of my week. This coming from a gal that was Kohl's favorite customer in the past. Now due to the economy I have had to cut way back. I so need a life.

I must admit that excitement just isn't what it used to be. It used to be that life was exciting. As a child it was learning about life. As a scooter tramp it was living life on the edge everyday and surviving by my wits and by my ability to overcome whatever I came up against. Today it is playing with my granddaughter and waiting for Christmas morning to see her excitement. right now I'm rather excited waiting for the renovations and remodeling to be finished on the home I'm going to be moving into, next door to her.

At the county airport across the road from us they are tearing out one of the airstrips and building a new one. We're having fun watching the trucks haul out the old blacktop and pavement. We're hoping they have an airshow this summer after suspending them for two years because of budget cuts. We have a front row seat!
