excitement plus ! Have you ventured out of your safe zone to enjoy an unusual experience ?
Just had a 10 minute attempt at go cart racing and glad oh so glad I only paid for a 10 minute experience. It certainly was exciting and the longest 10 minutes I have ever enjoyed.
intend to go again but not too soon and it does cost. I am also the slowest one on the track as the others all whiz past me and no garden to view as you go round and round.....
I was helped out of my walking frame to get into the cart. Most of the guys (it is a guys thing) were I suspect too stunned to say or do anything. I probably put a damper on this somewhat male activity
just by being there
I tried abseiling (going down a cliff with rope and a special gizmo) once but it took such a lot of courage and I was just so scared......enjoyed the fact that I had done it after !
hot air ballooning was an experience although somewhat expensive. Quite amazing how high you go so that you are looking down on the flying birds way down below.

I am sorry to say I have not done anything like that in a little while. However I do want to try a trip in a hot air balloon soon.
I have not done any abseiling for a while either, but I LOVED doing that and got quite addicted to it for a year or two.
A friend in the USA has just got an ultra-lite as a retirement gift to himself, after being away from flying for some years. He is so delighted with it, he has me wondering if I should risk having a go. Maybe even taxiing it would be fun. Will wait and see.

I've done a number of thrill-seeking things. They're good because the fear is overwhelming but the satisfaction of overcoming that and doing it is unbeatable.
Salt-water kayak course cos my Lady thinks and thought I was Tarzan's Father-in-law..!
Drove a real racing car in a Beginners 5 Laps in Palmer, Alaska. Seven of us eight drivers were, from what I could see under the helmets, 16 year old girls..! I came in last....I thought I was doing 200 mph and would surely fly off into space around the bends. They said I 'only' clocked 75. The girls were doing 85 and 90.... This was 10 years ago.
Flew 4 hours in an 2 seater Ultralight. Loved it and held the joy-stick for while a while.
Of course, it goes without saying, if you're an ambulance driver for over 20 years you have your share of hair-raising driving experiences, mostly nothing to do with 'speed,' more likely, oncoming traffic.

The important thing is you over came your fear and did it. Yes I've done a few things in my life that were pretty risky. I did the go cart racing too, it was a thrill.

I climbed out of my wheelchair at a carnival the other day and climbed onto a 'Tilt-a-Whirl' ride with no assistance. Had a wonderful ride, then got an ovation when I re-entered my chair.

I jumped off a bridge into a river about 50 feet below and then swam out. Once at that is enough.

I really do think you should try everything once. Some unusual experiences can be very enjoyable but some can just be weird.

I rode an elephant, that was kind of a trip.
@Thomas, the "Tilt-a-Whirl' was always my favorite ride. Brings back many memories of my mom and I every year on the "Tilt-a-Whirl'

I was fool enough to take a ride in a ultra light airplane! Once is enough!
