Describe your favourite tea cup ? or coffee cup ?

have just bought a new set with curved rims which are really nice to use.

Update:

I used extra large cups but now like the fine china type and the colourful ones are so cheering. My son uses ones with rude sayings although the rattie ones are good.

I like these two cups that we got ourselves for Christmas once with Moose Drewl ( great micro brew made in Montana) on them. The logo has all but worn off and the cups are still great. They are cream/ gold colored shorter and wider than most. They have a darker ring around the top. They never tip over and the handles fit perfectly. I make pottery cups and have high standards.

    1. Keeps coffee hot

    2. easy to hold and not tippy

    3. does not get hot handle when microwaved

We live in the country so I like the country kind of look to them. I like it best when we both use the same type cup and not some other one. I have several set, the blue ring and green ring cups, the same shape but different pattern ones. My hubby likes a white interior or a light colored one, I don't care. Then the blue solid and the green solid.

I have two thermal mugs I use for my breakfast tea. I used to use them

for coffee, when I was still a coffee drinker. It has the stagecoach from

the Wells Fargo bank on each. It keeps my tea warmer longer than a regular cup.

I like the taste better in a china cup, but they are usually so shallow

that they don't hold much. And that requires a quicker trip for a refill.

So I go with the mug that holds more, and I don't have to get up as

    often.

My favorite coffee cup is ceramic, (it's mostly green, and also white and a bit of black in the design,) but it is not a smooth ceramic or high gloss. It has a picture of the Louisiana Bayou, (probably as close as I 'll ever get to it.) I like the textured feel of the cup in my hands. For my hot tea I have a small china tea cup and saucer that a friend of mine gave me for a gift several years ago.

Mine is gone away, but it was a very delicate antique porcelain tea cup and saucer made in Japan. It was black with hand painted cherry blossoms and real gold around the lip of the cup. The saucer had imitation basket weave border and was trimmed in gold also. I paid 175 pounds for it at an estate sale, it was very nice to drink tea from, but I sold it to try and get some of the money back.

Although I don't like tea and coffee I do have 2 coffee cups that I drink milk out of. My sister bought me one of them for my birthday years ago from Avon. It has large pastel hearts on it. I also use one that my daughter bought me that has a little mouse dressed as a Christmas angel on it. (I collect mice).

Although I have a cupboard full of them, those are the only two that I use. Sentimental reasons I guess.

I'm always so busy at work that I never have time to sit down and have a hot cup of coffee. When asked if I'd like a coffee, I always say "yes please, just half a cup". Several years ago my colleagues gave me a coffee mug very similar to the ones I've attached in this link! I love it and use it all the time!

My favorite coffee cup is my Pfaltzgraff pedestal cup. During the Christmas holidays, I use a Christmas cup that I bought for a dollar at Dollar General. It's deep, holds more coffee, & is nice to look at.

Isn't it funny how some of us do have a favorite coffee cup ? Mine is as big as a soup bowl with a handle. Green inside, blue out. Bought it, and 3 others, at the thrift store for a buck ! ! Best bargain I ever got ! !

A tall one that has Eeyore on it, got it from Disneyland about 10 years ago, holds about two regular size cups of coffee.

My favorite coffee cup is a heavy ceramic mug much like the old mugs used years ago.
