When did you start to feel your 1st baby's first movements?

I've been feeling movements now for the past 2-3 days. It's always around the same time of day and its always in the same sort of place. It's not gas as I know what that feels like. What I'm getting feels kind of like popcorn. It's like nothing I've ever felt before. It feels weird, but in a good way. I wanted to know how far gone you guys were when you felt movements and what it felt like for you :)

Update:

Forgot to mention that I'm roughly 12 weeks 1 day, but I haven't had my ultrasound yet, so don't quite know for sure!

People will probably disagree with me BUT I felt the tiniest flutters at 8 weeks in the same spot almost every day. So for you to say you feel them at roughly 12 weeks would be a sure thing. Enjoy, it gets even better :-)

20 weeks is very common for first pregnancies. (For strong, "kick" type movements.) That's when I felt the "big" stuff, with some fluttering a couple of weeks before that. I thought I had felt something at 12 weeks with my second child, but my doctor said it couldn't have been the baby that early. By 16 weeks, I felt her very strongly. Who knows, though? My doctor's a man, and as experienced as he is, he's never been pregnant! :) Enjoy it, it goes so fast!

Um well I don't know when the first movements really started because I had been feeling weirdness for awhile but when I felt definite movement that I could be sure was my baby I was 18 weeks

I actually didn't feel anything until about 18-19 weeks but man when they started they didn't stop lol!! I have a desk job and it's always more frequest after lunch or in the evening after a snack or a glass of juice. They are defintiely getting more powerful lol, I've had a couple blows to the bladder that were uncomfortable :)

  • Normally if you're very thin to begin with, you can feel the baby moving sooner. I am 19 weeks now (and had a bit of a tummy before I got pregnant) and I started feeling my little man move about 3 weeks ago. It all depends on the person. Congrats and good luck!

I felt fluttering at 16 weeks, called my mom - and she said that was it! It's common to start feeling that around 16 to 18 weeks.

I was exactly 20 weeks when I felt my first baby move. 12 weeks is a little early to be feeling your baby move, its probably digestion.
