Here, this comes from official ipod page...
To delete a song or other item from iPod nano:
1 )Click the iPod nano icon in the iTunes Source list.
2 ) Select a song or other item on iPod nano and press the Delete or Backspace key on
your keyboard.
When you delete a song or other item from iPod nano manually, the song is not
deleted from your iTunes library.

if you have itunes unchek boxes to the left of the songs
when u connect your ipod to itunes check the box where it says "sync only checked songs and videos"
also go to the top where is says music and select the playlist u want to sync with, you can do the same with the rest (vids, podcast, pics, tv shows, etc)
it would also help that u read the instructions if available
one more tip
make sure to name ur ipod whatever u like and have a password that u can easy remember

Go to your itunes playlist, and find the ones you want to delete.
If you cant, then look in the computers documents, for itunes.
you should be able to find the songs in there.
delete them then re sync your ipod.
