Here, this comes from official ipod page...

To delete a song or other item from iPod nano:

1 )Click the iPod nano icon in the iTunes Source list.

2 ) Select a song or other item on iPod nano and press the Delete or Backspace key on

    your keyboard.

When you delete a song or other item from iPod nano manually, the song is not

    deleted from your iTunes library.

if you have itunes unchek boxes to the left of the songs

when u connect your ipod to itunes check the box where it says "sync only checked songs and videos"

also go to the top where is says music and select the playlist u want to sync with, you can do the same with the rest (vids, podcast, pics, tv shows, etc)

it would also help that u read the instructions if available

    one more tip

make sure to name ur ipod whatever u like and have a password that u can easy remember

connect your iPod to your computer and turn on iTunes. Click on the iPod icon, delete the songs from that list (highlight the song, right click, delete).

  • Open iTunes and it will automatically recognize your ipod (if it's connected), click on the ipod icon in the left column the click music, it will display all the music that is currently on your ipod, from there, right click and delete.

You have to delete or uncheck the songs you don't want from your library than start the sync over.

Go to your itunes playlist, and find the ones you want to delete.

If you cant, then look in the computers documents, for itunes.

you should be able to find the songs in there.

delete them then re sync your ipod.
