Would/How would you ask this person out?

Ok - so, I received this girl's phone number through my sister. Here's how - My sister has been going to a clinic and when she mentioned to a lady that I was college educated, worked for the State Legislature and whatever else, I hear she went ape crap. So yes - she gave my sister her daughter's phone number to pass on to me.

I thought it was awkward but I did eventually call and ask her out. She said yes but eventually she never showed to the place we would meet. So, I forget about her and never called again.

Now, fast forward about 2 months later - my sister goes back to the clinic and runs into this lady again. It turns out that her daughter couldn't find the place we were going to hook up at - so it's not like she stood me up. (And, me being an idiot, never gave her my number.)

So what would you do if you were me? Would you try asking her out again and how would you do it?
