do you have to physically go to any classes? or is it an all online thing?

it is sometimes online
and sometimes it refers to a system where you obviously don't have to go to classes but you do have to give exams. they may be conducted where the university is located or there may be some other centers as well.

It all depends on the program. Some require you to attend the first class, then the rest is online. Some require you to come in to take your tests. Some require you to meet regularly, usually at like a local high school, where you watch videotapes of the presenter. Some have 2 way video systems where the prof is in one area, you are in another.

Distance education is on-line very rare in some classes u have to go to class but 99% of distance education is all on-line..I'm in distance education classes right now and its great
