How long does it take for a cheque to clear in a credit union in b.C. ?
I deposited a cheque given to me in small claims court a month ago. How long do I have to wait to be sure he does not stop payment or do something else to screw me out of this money. You should ask your credit union this question. I would think that if it's been a month since you made the deposit, you would already have seen the check being returned if it was coming back. It should be okay but call your credit union to be sure.
You should always take any questions having to do with your account right to your credit union. They are the ones who will give you the proper answer.
