Would you consider 320 botched federal police raids 'isolated incidents'?
From CATO:
"If a widespread pattern of [knock-and-announce] violations were shown . . . there would be reason for grave concern."
Says —Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy in 2006
How many innocent and wrongly murdered people does it have to be for it to be considered 'a widespread pattern'?
Dave - point taken.
But most raids violate the forth and 6th amendments in my opinion. The reason we have so many botched raids is becuase we have way to many raids over frivolities.
Like the case of the swat raid over a kid hitting his head and parents not taking him to the hospital. Seriously

I don't know. How many "unbotched" raids were there?
Seriously, if 320 out of 500 were botched, that's widespread. if 320 out of 10,000 were botched, those are isolated incidents.
This is why it is important to ascertain all the facts, and state them, if you want a legitimate response. This sounds more like you have decided the answer already, and just want some cheerleaders. I mean, I am all for "free thinking", but this is more like "thought free". Try "critical thinking", yeah?

I think this is just 'them' getting us used to the new way things will be soon (Socialism).
Our government has adopted this 'save us from ourselves' policy, and mindset that is completely unconstitutional. Socialism is the loss of freedom, and this is where our country's headed.
It doesn't stop with just raids though. I've flown on a plane once since 9/11, and I won't again because of their digging through my luggage like I'm a criminal. The airport feels like a KGB checkpoint-not America.
In my opinion, this is all an effort to brainwash Americans into thinking we need big brother to be our nanny.

Stuff like this seems to be happening more and more often, and I think the problem stems from misinformation (like we were given regarding the war on terrorism in Iraq), and from the mindset of the persons hired to do jobs like these. People do make mistakes, but it's also very possible that there is something more behind some of these incidents. Makes me think about the Ivins, D.C. Madam and Brandy Britton cases.

It's all a pattern of police control over the people with no regard for the US Constitution . Say police State . A sorry state we see our selves in today because of our laziness in being vigil about government enforced abuse of the countries people .

Certainly not. We need to reduce the powers of the government on all raids. Taking recreational drugs is not wise but it does not warant being shot at by armed thugs.
