I need help thinking of a name for my volunteer project, any ideas?
My boyfriend and I plan on traveling abroad volunteering and we need a name for ourselves. Based on our plans anyone have any ideas?
We plan to:
Help raise awareness of western culture in a non threatening non invasive manner to reduce the chance of radicalization in the Middle East and improve the lives of the impoverished through education.
We also plan to travel to Cairo to teach Coptic Egyptians and refugees English skills.
For our main trip (1 year or more) We are going to be participating in a volunteer program in rural Nepal where we would help out in the hospital and school daily.
I need a name before I can start fund raising, I am terrible with names :) Thanks!

2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoAnyone go to see the premiere of I.O.U.S.A. yesterday night?
If so what did you think about it? I thought it was very well put together. If you are my age (24) it probably outraged you that older generations could be so immoral as to expect us to pay off their irresponsible debts for government they are too lazy to hold accountable.
4 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDoes Sean Hannity have critical thinking abilities?
From his book "Deliver us from evil":
"From the very first days after 9/11, the left started talking about the "root causes" of the attacks, asking "Why do the terrorists hate us?" Well, I don’t believe there’s any answer to that question that could ever explain, justify, or excuse the terrorists’ decision to slaughter three thousand people on that day. And anyone who’s inclined to waste much time dwelling on such a question just isn’t likely to have much grasp on the reality of evil in the world. The search for "root causes" is an invitation to address the grievances of a group whose actions have put them permanently beyond the reach of sympathy or explanation." - Sean Hannity
So we should not try to figure out a motive? Should we use this logic when prosecuting domestic criminals that committed murder?
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat the point of having a convention if the nominee is already chosen?
All the other political parties have conventions to nominate someone, the dems and repubs just have a rallying party or what? Seems like a waste of money. Policy is never even discussed, no intellectual debate or anything goes on.
Also, why do the parties allow people from other parties to vote in their primaries? It makes no sense.
11 AnswersElections1 decade agoI read that the GOP convention is having problems generating excitement?
That a lot of people are not coming. Why can't McAmnesty draw a bigger crowd? Maybe if he picks Lieberman as VP that will help with the buzz?
22 AnswersElections1 decade agoAnyone else think we have a false sense of choice when it comes to picking a president?
I think money and favors buy access to the ballot and the nominations.
I think it also buys endorsement from the major media outlets making candidates seem more popular and electable than they really are. If a popular talking head likes someone all the sudden that is everyones favorite from no research or opinion of their own. I see no reason to think otherwise. Prove me wrong?
I tend to agree with this:
"If voting changed anything it would be illegal" - Emma Goldman
10 AnswersElections1 decade agoBesides being a POW what is McCains foreign policy experience?
Has he served on any congressional or Senate boards?
Has he written any books or made any philosophical speeches?
Has he made any major decisions on combat or foreign relations?
Has he ever worked for a defense department?
I never hear him talk about foreign policy unless its about winning war and thats not policy, that is just about troop commanding.
This is an honest question. Don't act like an a**, give me a real answer please.
Thanks.
16 AnswersElections1 decade agoTo Republicans only: Ron Paul introduced small government and capitalistic ideas to young people, is this bad?
Many of these people changed their leftist views becuase of him.
Seems as if you hate him so much that you would prefer young people stay socialists then welcome them and their candidate into your dying party.
You had the most enthusiastic best fund raisers and volunteers ever at your disposal. Brilliant move.

THATS a scary power.
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoWill McCain work to eliminate the IRS?
If no what is his reasoning? I want his opinion, not yours.
14 AnswersElections1 decade agoPoll: Who is voting for Bob Barr?
McCain staying in the race is stealing votes from Barr.

12 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs watching Bill O'Reilly reminiscent of watching Sesame street?
I have learned not to be a "blooter" or a "pecksnifian" when I "opine".
Tomorrow I heard he will go over the whole alphabet backward.
18 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoTo conservatives who are not that excited about McCain, answer this?
I know a lot of, if not most, conservatives, libertarians, republicans and independents are not excited about McCain and only voting for him in fear of an Obama presidency.
What I do not understand is that if most people do not like McCain why don't you all just vote for someone else in the general election that you do like? All together, just pick, and vote for a real conservitive. SIMPLE.
You are a majority, you could get someone you actually liked elected, you don't have to settle. You have power and control.
Is it just laziness that stops you? This is America so that might explain it.
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoWould you consider 320 botched federal police raids 'isolated incidents'?
From CATO:
"If a widespread pattern of [knock-and-announce] violations were shown . . . there would be reason for grave concern."
Says —Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy in 2006
How many innocent and wrongly murdered people does it have to be for it to be considered 'a widespread pattern'?
8 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoDo you agree with McCain's adviser Juan Hernandez on his quote below?
"We must not only have a free flow of goods and services, but also start working for a free flow of people." - Juan Hernandez McCain's Hispanic outreach adviser.
8 AnswersElections1 decade agoRepublicans and democrats..did you belong to opposite parties in the 90's?
Bill Clinton and the dems tried to pass warrant less wiretapping bills and patriot act like measures in the 90's and the republicans were up in arms saying how that violates the constitution.
But now that it is Bush pushing for them the same things are now A-OK with the republicans and not okay with the democrats. What gives?
Grassroots democrats: Were you against your own party in the 90's?
Grassroots republicans: Where you against your own party in the 90's?
Valid question considering the parties have completely switched stances on a lot of things and also why many laugh when people say that Obama or McCain will be different.
