To conservatives who are not that excited about McCain, answer this?
I know a lot of, if not most, conservatives, libertarians, republicans and independents are not excited about McCain and only voting for him in fear of an Obama presidency.
What I do not understand is that if most people do not like McCain why don't you all just vote for someone else in the general election that you do like? All together, just pick, and vote for a real conservitive. SIMPLE.
You are a majority, you could get someone you actually liked elected, you don't have to settle. You have power and control.
Is it just laziness that stops you? This is America so that might explain it.
Why no answers? I think this is a very important question that will say a lot when its answered.
noble - that is not true, McCain won in states with open primaries - his own party did not pick him. Plus after the first few states vote the rest just follow the crowd and pick whoever was winning.
Plus most states only have primaries for dems and repubs. Voters only got to pick the candidates for those 2 parties.
United States = 1 more choose than North Korea. Go freedom!

Yes the masses could elect whoever they voted for but they had a lot of choices going into the primaries and obviously they picked McCain so he is the majority pick by conservatives. I dont understand how he came back from nowhere in the polls late in the primaries and I suspect dirty pool here but thats where we are now.

I guess collectively people are too concerned that their vote would be wasted. I'm not thrilled with McCain but as you pointed out I will vote for him based on the fact he needs votes to beat Obama. I think in this election there is too much at stake not to vote main stream.

Paul was the clear winner ,but the bought and paid for media made sure Ron Paul didnt get his word out,it would have been devastating to both the rebublican and dem party and their new world order agenda. It is not just coincidence that we have the two worst candidates in history to pick from.
