McCain's cross in the sand story, is it true?

John McCain is a pathological liar. He knows he is pandering to Christian right whackos with a plagiarized story. Fact is there were few Christians in north Viet Nam then and there are still few Christians there now.

If John McCain told that story in 1975, I wouldn't say he's a liar, that he starts telling the story around 2000 makes it a convenient lie.

McCain knows that his lies can't be refuted, as was easily done with Hillary Clinton with existing videos.

Pathetic that idiots trash the Daily Kos, all they can do is attack the messenger, because the message is right.

Who knows , Johnny seems to be milking that for all its worth. He flew his plane in the WRONG direction and got him self shot down because of his disobeying orders he ended up in a prison camp. There are those who were in that camp and Vietnam with McCain who swear that Ol`Johnny boy got special treatment from the guards for admitting to war crimes and giving up info that got his fellow Americans killed. His brothers at arms swear he is a traitor and he has been working hard to hide this fact since he was released!

It is not a recent phenomenon....I heard about this story at least a year ago.

Without the other participant corroborating the story, it would be nearly impossible to prove. Given the times and the situation, however, it is at the least more plausible than Senator Clinton's Bosnia story.

He was pandering, plain and simple. He should learn from Hillary's campaign that in this day of instant communication, lying is a no-no.

i'm sure he made it up, as all politicians including obama cook up fantasy stories about their religion for the voters

I think it's a good question. I'd have to hear it from more then one source tho.

I'll be keeping an eye out for any other source to report it too.

I have no doubt it is true, KOS brings up stuff like that all the time on purpose just to make their target look bad, KOS has made itself meaningless...

Look up what Obama says about his mom being a typical Midwestern woman and then read her biography.....you will be shocked.

No one knows but McCain and God for sure. And if it is not true, he will answer to God. It is that simple.
