You need to look in Device Manager and see if it is listed.

right click on "my computer", go to "manage", and then look under "devices"...it should be somewhere in there if properly installed. You may need to install/update the driver for it...you'll know it there is a yellow question mark next to the TV tuner in the same place (my comp, manage)...if so then right click on the TV tuner and then select "update driver"
