guys, what do you think when your gf is younger than you?

At those ages, yes, age matters.

If you were 20 or 21 and he was 29 or 30, it would be better... But with you only being 18, there is a maturity difference. You might not think so, but you two are on totally different mind levels. Different stages of life... He's already well-established in the real world, and you've just graduated (or are still in) high school.

I think that he is right... You need to move on.

There is a huge difference in where you are in life @ 18 vs. 27. Your whole goal set is different and what you are working towards. You are focusing on college and starting out he should be established in a career and looking to move up and settle down. etc.

Age usually doesn't matter when you get older but there is a huge difference when one of the 2 is still in their teens. Look at it this way, how much different and mature are you than a 9 year old?

You have your whole life ahead of you, enjoy it!

i think the age is not the problem, it's about how much u both got developed and mature ,but guys needs r different.. some like the young cute barbie girl ,the one that looks great but doesn't think much..others like the tough girls ,those who could raise the kids the right way with minimum claims .. but the beauty is to value and honor the one u love no matter how old he is...sorry honey he didn't love u.. :(

It wouldnt mean anything if he was 37 and you 28. But to a 27 year old, an 18 year old girl comes across as very childlike and immature.

Most girls your age have to go through at least 5-10 years of "party girl go out and get drunk stage"

It depends on the person. A lot of people are uncomfortable with dating girls who are barely legal. That's quite an age gap, it's understandable for him to feel that way.

Ha, just means you still have a hot, young body and would be fun to be with...

Okay, seriously, age doesn't make that much of a difference. There are 7 years difference between my wife and I... of course, she does have a hot young body and is fun to be with... sh*t, maybe what I said earlier was right to begin with.......

hmm well normally I say no to age mattering but in this case were a man is almost 30 probably looking to get married soon I would say yes it dose matter.

My mam and dad have that age gap and they truly love each other.

Your not young as in being immature so i think it would work.

Give it a try you you only live once you dont want to regret it.
