No, I worked for a company that gives you the day off on your birthday.
I usually like to go to work though so I can act surprised when my fellow mates give me a party (surprise of course).

Oh, heck, son. I usually don't remember my birthday until my driver's license comes up for renewal. There probably will come a time when someone has to tell you that you can take off if you want to. And you won't care to, either.

nope I dont think its wrong, but you shouldnt lie about it....A couple weeks before your birthday, request that day off.. Calling in sick, conveniently on your birthday, isnt going to fool anybody.
