Is America ever gonna wake up?
Are we gonna stay divided griping at each other about red and blue issues, and realize we should all be griping at the government about red, white and blue issues.
"United we stand, divided we fall. Let us not split into factions which must destroy that union upon which our existence hangs.”
Patrick Henry
Liberals do any of you really believe Obama will end the Iraq war or give every one health care?
Republicans do any of you really believe that John McCain will stop abortion?
Wake up America Please.
To answer your question Mikey I'll be voting Libertarian. I would have preferred Ron Paul but I'll take Bob Barr. It's either that or take your pick between a Socialist weasel or a fascist dictator. Cause if we keep voting red or blue that's what were going to get.

america will never wake up because they are too "caught up" i call it living in the matrix..people are too busy watching t.v, playing video games..not stimulating their minds..always worried about what looks good and who has the hottest/most expensive shoes..etc..america will get a harsh reality check soon im sure

I like your question. It's bi-partisan, and I like your analogy about the red and blue vs. the red, white and blue! I've thought about that one myself. And I agree wholeheartedly, that we must be a united nation, especially when there is so much tension brewing in the world. What I believe about both candidates, is that they will try to live up to their promises. What most people don't understand, however, is that the president has to go through Congress before any bill is passed, or changes are made. So however well-intentioned their agenda, they cannot make random decisions. All I can say at this point is, may the best man win! I prefer Obama, but the only way any of us can have control over who wins, is to get out and vote. Thanks for your question. It's one of the most intelligent and non-biased that I've seen on this site.

What were are doing now has been going on since before 1776. Debates are needed, how else are we going to decide what to do. Also if you honestly believe what you are saying then you should fight like hell to get it into law, so yes sometimes Congress and other politicians worry more about getting votes and making the other guy look bad, but a peaceful debate is unlikely.
You could say nice polite debate, but this is Yahoo answers, we are just hear to past the time, not decide policy. If you don't like a politician, don't vote, help the other campaign, whatever you need to.

And I suppose not doing anything about current issues will solve everything. Trust me, the last thing America needs is people griping about griping. Cuz there will be two gripers. So stop griping.

The ideals of Patrick Henry have long since passed us by. It's an ideology we should be striving to return to.. but the partisan rift has been years in the making. The fingers point in both directions. The truth lies somewhere between the conspiracy theorists and the history books.

I know McCain wont stop abortion. That is something that will take congress and the supreme court to change. The president cant make laws.
On the other hand it does seem that all the Obamatrons do believe that he is gonna end the Iraq war, even though he says right on his website that he will leave a residual force to fight terrorists in Iraq. Got to read that fine print boys!

In reponse to your actual question, likely not. The point of America...the whole reason America was created was for Freedom. No matter how much you disagree with what others say or do, they have the right to say or do it. Right now, most of America wants to argue about issues that don't really matter. We want to live in our own little world because, let's face it, the real world sucks. I disagree with what you say, but I'd fight with my life for your right to say it. I think that's a quote, too.

As somebody of center eastern background, i'm rather offended via your hateful feedback. yet everybody is entitled to their critiques so i'm going to pass away it at that. i'm an American. My father and mom have been born right here. My dad is a hundred% Lebanese yet he's likewise a hundred% American. it rather is company greed it rather is the subject. we are out of stability. it is going to be human beings vs. companies yet suitable now it rather is heavily skewed in direction of business company pastimes and the fake perception that business company pastimes will greater suitable human beings pastimes. As an MBA pupil, I exceptionally see how business company pastimes are very counter to human beings pastimes. we desire greater human beings to have the skill to make certain it too.
