Since the media loves Obama...?
and repeatedly claims Bob Barr will only "steal" votes from John McCain, why aren't the media and Obama campaign pushing for Barr's inclusion in the presidential debates?
In 1992 the Bush campaign pushed hard for Ross Perot's inclusion in the debates and some attribute the Bush victory to this.
I'm not saying I want Obama to win, but I don't want McCain to win either. I'll be equally dissapointed. I would however, really like for Barr to be able to participate in the debates and be heard. Thoughts?
Whoops, good call Bryan. I got that mixed up. :p

First I think you meant this contributed to the Bush Loss, not win.
Now to the question. The reason Ross Perot received so much inclusion was because he managed to maintain a very public persona. Whether or not you were going to vote for him, most people knew Ross was running in 92. The same cannot be said of Barr today. If Barr wants to make an impact on the election this year he is going to have to find a way to gain more exposure. This will not be easy because the media goes to great pains to ignore third party candidates and keep them out of the limelight.

Every election is different. As yous said Ross Perot was responsible to Bush victory. The same could be said of Bob Barr but maybe the
powers to be don't want to upset their time table?
A third candidate would change this election and I think the die is cast for four more years of GOP and then Hilary Clinton will win in 2012.
But what do I know?

Obama couldn't handle another smart, thoughtful candidate with actual convictions.
