Did you know that Georgia did not start the conflict with Russia?
I have heard a lot of people accusing Georgia of starting the conflict. I wanted to point out that separatists in South Ossetia,Georgia were attacking Georgian solders and the soldiers did not fire back. Georgia offered a ceasefire and the separatists did not accept. Then Georgia had to use soldiers to keep the separatists from going causing more violence. Then Russia sent their soldiers into Georgia and all the way near the capital of Georgia. I think it is funny how some people online assumed Russia was telling the truth. They are getting involved in a conflict that is not their business and used it as an excuse to go deep into the country. Now Russia had ignored 5 (I believe) ceasefires and 3 pullout deals that they signed. Who do you think is at fault?

Anyone with half a brain know that Russia is the real aggressor here ... sad thing is, there are alot of people out there with less than half a brain -- and they're known as Liberals.

If you followed close to the news, the earliest ceasefire request was filed in the U.N. by Russia, and President Bush objected it. Russian forces were doing peace-keeping in South Ossetia during the years. So, Georgia couldn't avoid contacting with Russian forces when attacking South Ossetia.

It's rather obvious that Russia is the sole aggressor in this conflict. They the Russians created a false situation in order to justify violating Georgia's sovereignty, how else could they have possibly had 1200 Tanks manned and just sitting at the border waiting for the order to roll in? Why else would they have pulled pilots out of retirement just a few days before hand.

You know I love these idiots that come on here and talk about how mainstream media lies then they put on a link of some blogger who operates a newsroom out of his basement and relies on donations from disillusioned individuals who are pissed off at society. And we're supposed to believe that these so called journalists have the "true" story even though they have no reporters on the ground and no journalism training to speak of [shakes head in bewildermint]
I think I'll stick with the real news organizations.
And to answer your question, yes I knew Russia started this conflict when they armed the separtist rebels back in the 1990's in order to destabilize Georgia.

Always remember, it was Dubya who looked into Putin's eyes and saw the soul of a good man.
While the rest of us smacked our foreheads in frustration that an ex-KGB agent was able to fool the President so easily.
Yes, Russia is the agressor. Yes, Russia is NOT going to allow the birthplace of Stalin to join NATO. Yes, Russia is flush with oil revenue and has the means to make it happen.

Looks like you all know not too much about Russia. And I am sure you all know even less of Georgia. Now, please, ask yourself how can you talk thinks you have no idea about?! One day you will understand that someone BIG fooled you around. I just hope it will not be too late to change something... Try to see this - http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/

Are USA forces in Iraq still? Why Russia can not do the same things?
I love that we are a very blind Nation... lol.. Please do your homework. Russia isn't the aggressor. Look at America's hand in this. America has thrown yet another rock and hid their hands.
