I have 2 male dogs- why do they constantly hump each other?

sorry to yell, but i thought i was the only one with gay dogs. Mine also sit there and lick eachother mouths.

Mostly likely, your dogs are not gay. This is a dominance routine. The dog that is doing the humping is trying to say, "I'm the boss."

Strangely enough, that's the concept behind prison sex. Men don't don't "turn gay" in prison, it's a way of saying "I'm the boss around here," by making the lesser man take the role of a woman (which is perceived to be a "weak" role.) So it is "sexist", but not sexual.

They are trying to prove who is the "alpha dog". By the one dog humping, and the other allowing it, they are showing who is the dominant one. Most people I know, including myself, that own 2 dogs also have this issue - I don't think it's anything to worry about.

No hes not gay :) It's a dominance slash play thing. When they get really excited they can hump, it's not necessarily sexual.

dont worry...all dogs do that..even if they are spayed or nuddered...same breed...this dog humps my dog and my dog doesnt care..my dog humps my teddy bear..its just what they do..=]

i think both of them really need a female dog...

its a dominance thing. nothing to do with sexuality.
