what are the little toggles called?

they fit into the bottom of the i pod and allow the i pod to be married to the car radio

    you would usually need an aftermarket stereo with an ipod adapter to accomplish this feat (hooking up your ipod to the car stereo through the bottom usb port).

    the easiest way to do it is to just connect the headphone jack of the ipod to an auxillory port on the stereo. it gives you the same result with 2 differences.

    1. the ipod wont charge

    2. you will have to use the ipod itself to find the music to play instead of the stereo (which I prefer doing so its not a drawback to me)

    or you could get an FM modulator. it usually plus into the 12 volt power source of your car (where cigarette lighters used to be on older cars) and into the bottom of the ipod. this method will charge it, but the sound quality will not be that great.
