What size holster should I get for a Browning 9MM?
I just bought my first handgun yesterday: a Browning 9MM. I forgot to purchase holster and a cleaning kit. I can't seem to find a consistent sizing scheme on holsters for the gun, and was looking for recommendations. Also, is one cleaning kit just as good as another?

I use a custom fitted plastic holster made by Fobus. You can get them for any side arm. The advantage to these holsters is that it is hard for someone else to draw the gun. I got the holster on line at the Cop Shop. Also got a cleaning kit there. I think any cleaning kit is good as long as it includes a wire brush.

It really depends on what you want in a holster. Most of them will either be made specifically for your gun or they will be made to fit certain lengths. You jsut have to look and see what holster fits what you want of it. Uncle Mikes makes alot of universal holsters, while triple K and many others make leather and nylon holsters that fit specific guns. Sportmans guide is another good place to look for holsters, if that gun is hte only one you own, try getting a bore snake for that caliber.

You need to be more explicit. Saying browning 9mm is like saying Ford 4 cylinder. What model, and what barrel length?
